ATV Paddle Tires

ATV paddle tires should be used for the kind of terrain they are designed for and that is sand. One kind of ATV tire cannot be the best tire for all terrains. Your ATV may have come with a general purpose tire that is okay for the laid-back or occasional ride. The problem with a general purpose tire is that it does not excel anywhere. It just gets you around adequately.

Now if your ground is dry and sandy you want a sand paddle tire for your quad or ATV. A paddle tire will look practically smooth and treadless except for relative huge rubber projections sticking out from the tire at intervals. These projections or paddles scoop the sand behind you as you drive through it. With these kinds of tires you will leave your other ATV riding friends behind in your wake.

Another kind of sand tire you may see for ATVs is an all smooth tire. Note that these tires are meant for the front steering tires of a two-wheel drive ATV. You will still want ATV paddle tires for your rear wheels.

One variety of ATV paddle tire for sale over the internet is the Kenda K292 Dune Runner Paddle Tire. It comes in different sizes, but a set of two tires in the 22 inch by 11 inch by 8 inch size is on sale at Amazon for $57 for a 25% savings over the list price of $76. While you can buy this through Amazon you are actually buying it from Motorcycle Superstore and it ships from there also. This tire was designed for pulling power through sand so you will find its sand traction to be great. While you should be well rehearsed in changing your tires for dealing with flats or changes in terrain, it is nice that there is one convenience built into changing these tires: replacement is easier because there is no left or right side to these tires.
